Frequently asked questions
When and where can I register for the event?
As the event approaches, it will be announced when registrations will open.
How can I register for an activity?
Once you have created an account you can register for activities by selecting the activity you would like to attend from the programme tab on the website. If you registered for the event last year, you can use your account from last year. Do not forget to update your CV if applicable.
Do I need to register for the job fair?
You do not have to register for the job fair. At the job fair, you are free to walk around and speak with the participating companies of that day, whilst enjoying your lunch.
What are the costs for participation?
There is a EUR 10 fee for participation in the Tilburg Career Days. This fee covers your participation in all activities, the gift bag you receive, and the lunch or informal drinks. The participation fee only applies if you have been selected for an activity. If you register for an activity and are not accepted by the company, no participation fee is incurred.
If you have been selected for an activity, this fee will be deducted from your bank account around the 24th of November.
How can I de-register for an activity?
When you suddenly cannot attend an activity anymore, you have the option to de-register. This can be done under the activities page on this site. Note that you cannot de-register for the activity within 24 hours before the activity.
What happens if I do not show up for an activity?
When you do not show up to an activity you registered for, there will be a EUR 15 penalty deducted. This amount will be increased with EUR 5 for each activity you miss after that.
Why can I upload an anonymized CV?
Anonymized CVs are not mandatory for the Tilburg Career Days. However, we encourage the use of anonymized CVs to help prevent unconscious bias in the selection process for activities.
What is an anonymized CV?
An anonymized CV is a CV that does not include the following points:
- First name
- Surname
- Gender
- Nationality
- Date of birth
- Photo
- Links
Should I upload a Dutch or English resume?
This depends on the type of activity you wish to attend. If you register for an English activity, you should upload an English CV. If you only register for Dutch activities, a Dutch CV is sufficient.
Where will the Tilburg Career Days take place?
The Tilburg Career Days 2024 will take place in the CUBE building at the university. You can find the locations of the activities in your programme.
I have been selected for an individual conversation. When will it take place?
You can find the time slot for your individual conversation in the email you have received containing your personal schedule.
